Boston ([ˈboston]), officially theMunicipality of Boston, is amunicipality in theprovince ofDavao Oriental,Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 14,618 people.[3]

It is the northernmost and least populated municipality ofDavao Oriental.

Boston is named afterBoston, Massachusetts. This name of the place also comes fromEnglish locality where originated this name. Boston was founded likely during American period. However, the founding date (historical documents) of the municipality was disappeared during theWorld War II, In year 1942-1943, The Japanese forces was entered this town.
