Chemical compound

Bornyl acetate is a chemical compound.^[1] Itsmolecular formula is C₁₂H₂₀O₂ and itsmolecular weight is 196.29 g/mol. It is theacetate ester ofborneol. It is used as afood additive,^[2]flavouring agent, andodour agent.

It is a component of the essential oil from pine needles (from the familyPinaceae)^[3]^[4]^[5] and primarily responsible for its odor.^[6]
