Boris Gorenc (born 3 December 1973) is a former Slovenian professionalbasketball player, and basketballagent.
Gorenc started playing basketball inKK Domžale, before in 1990 he joinedKK Olimpija. He had been member Olimpija until 1996, and help team winning five times national championship and Saporta Cup. He moved to France in summer 1996, signed withStrasbourg IG. In 1997 he was invited to train withChicago Bulls for two months and already signed with them, before he injured knees. He returned to France, signed withPau-Orthez. However, in January he was released and signed withPepsi Rimini, where he also played season 1998–1999. In January 2000 he signed withBipop-Carire R.Emilia. Before season 2000–2001 he signed withLineltex Imola, but in October he signed withMontepaschi Siena. He stayed inTuscany until 2002, when he signed withMetis Varese. Season 2003-04 he played Euroleague withOlympiacos. Gorenc that last time played for Italian team,Snaidero Cucine. In January he left Italy to re-join Olympiacos. From 2005 to 2007 he played in Russia forBC Khimki. In October 2007 he signed with Olimpija. After many injuries they reached mutual consent in March 2008. He officially announced his retirement in September 2008.
Gorenc was a regular member of the seniorSlovenian national basketball team, between 1992 and 2003. He competed in fiveEuroBaskets (1993,1995,1997,2001, and2003).
