Boldklubben 1909, known asB1909, is a Danishassociation football club currently playing in theDenmark Series. They play atGillested Park inOdense onFunen, which has a capacity of 6,000. Founded in 1909, the club spent a total 38 seasons in theDanish championship from 1912 to 1993, and won the1959 and1964 Danish 1st Division championships, as well as the 1962 and 1971Danish Cup trophies.
In the2006–07 season, thefirst team of B1909 merged withB 1913 andDalum IF, to formFC Fyn. B 1909's new first team continued in the Danish league system, but had to stay two leagues below FC Fyn. In 2013, as FC Fyn was dissolved, the three mother clubs were reestablished in the lower leagues.[1][2]
