Robert Slowik (born May 16, 1954) is agridiron football coach who is thedefensive coordinator for theCalgary Stampeders of theCanadian Football League (CFL).
Slowik played college football at theUniversity of Delaware, where he was a two-year starter at cornerback prior to beginning his coaching career there as a graduate assistant.[1]
Slowik was adefensive coordinator for theDenver Broncos,Green Bay Packers,Cleveland Browns andChicago Bears in theNational Football League (NFL) and for theMontreal Alouettes in the CFL.[2] He has also been a coach forRutgers,East Carolina University, and theDallas Cowboys.
It was announced that Slowik had joined theCalgary Stampeders as a defensive assistant on June 17, 2021.[3] In the following season, he was named the team'slinebackers coach. He served in that capacity for three seasons before being promoted to defensive coordinator on December 16, 2024.[4]
Bob Slowik is the husband of coachCarol Thomson Slowik.[5]
Their son,Bobby Slowik, was theoffensive coordinator for theHouston Texans of theNational Football League (NFL) for 2 seasons.[6][7]
