Bo Hardegree (born July 5, 1984) is anAmerican football coach who is thequarterbacks coach for theTennessee Titans of theNational Football League (NFL). He had previously served as an assistant coach for theLas Vegas Raiders,New England Patriots,Miami Dolphins,Denver Broncos,Chicago Bears, andNew York Jets.[1][2]
Hardegree grew up inJackson, Tennessee and played football for his father atCentral-Merry High School. Hardegree was a reserve quarterback for theTennessee Volunteers from 2003 to 2006, appearing in one game before switching sports and playing for the school's tennis team.[3][4]
Hardegree began coaching in 2007 as student assistant at Tennessee before serving as a graduate assistant atDuke University from 2008-2010 underDavid Cutcliffe.[5][3] He interned at theLSU coaching staff from 2011 to 2013.[6]
In 2014, Hardegree was hired by theDenver Broncos as an offensive quality control coach under head coachJohn Fox.[7]
In 2015, Hardegree followed Fox to join theChicago Bears as an offensive assistant, following head coach John Fox.[8]
In 2016, Hardegree was hired by theMiami Dolphins as the quarterbacks coach under head coachAdam Gase.[9]
In 2019, Hardegree followed Gase to join theNew York Jets as an offensive assistant.[10]
In 2021, Hardegree was hired by theNew England Patriots as an offensive assistant under head coachBill Belichick.[11]
In 2022, Hardegree was hired by theLas Vegas Raiders as the quarterbacks coach under head coachJosh McDaniels.[12]
On October 31, 2023, Hardegree was promoted to interim offensive coordinator following the firing of head McDaniels, general managerDave Ziegler, and offensive coordinatorMick Lombardi.[13]
On January 19, 2024, new Raiders head coachAntonio Pierce announced he would not retain Hardgree for the upcoming season.[14]
On February 14, 2024, Hardegree was hired by theTennessee Titans as the quarterbacks coach under new head coachBrian Callahan.[15] This move marked a return to his home state of Tennessee, where he also played college football for theTennessee Volunteers.
