  • Manders – on Highway 11 at the west of the township
  • Shenston – Fehr Road and Tait Road

The township is served byOntario Highway 71, a branch of theTrans-Canada Highway, and byHighway 600.

History

It was named afterThomas William Chapple, a former Ontario MPP from 1894 to 1898, who served as judge for the Rainy River District from 1898 to 1926. Before politics Chapple was a lawyer.

In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, Chapple had a population of763 living in265 of its332 total private dwellings, a change of18.7% from its 2016 population of643. With a land area of 558.15 km2 (215.50 sq mi), it had a population density of1.4/km2 (3.5/sq mi) in 2021.[8]
