Bill Schmitz (March 30, 1954 – August 26, 2013) was anAmerican football coach. He served as head football coach at theUnited States Coast Guard Academy from 1993 to 1996 andAustin Peay State University from 1997 to 2002, compiling a careercollege football record of 39–65.[1]

Coaching career

Schmitz served as thequarterbacks andreceivers coach of theLondon Monarchs in theWorld League of American Football for the 1992 season.[2]

Death

Schmitz died August 26, 2013 after he jumped from theSunshine Skyway Bridge.[3]
