Bill Schmitt (born February 13, 1936 – November 8, 2014) was an American professionalstock car racing driver who competed in theNASCAR Winston Cup Series and theNASCAR Winston West Series.
Schmitt was a multiple time champion of the West Series, having won four championships and nineteen races from 1974 to 1993.
Schmitt also competed in series such as theNASCAR Northwest Series, theNASCAR Southwest Series, the USAC Stock Car Series, and theTrans Am Championship.[1]
