William Lueck (born April 7, 1946) is an American former professionalfootballguard in theNational Football League (NFL) who played 98 games for theGreen Bay Packers and eleven games for thePhiladelphia Eagles.
Lueck was the 26th overall pick of the1968 NFL/AFL Draft out of theUniversity of Arizona, played eight seasons in the NFL, and retired prior to the1976 season. Whenhall of famerJerry Kramer retired after the1968 season, Lueck succeeded him atright guard for the Packers in1969.[1]
Lueck's brotherBob Lueck was also a football player, playing in theCanadian Football League for theCalgary Stampeders andWinnipeg Blue Bombers.[2] His grandson Matteo Mele played football for theWashington Huskies.[3]
