Bilibili Gaming (BLG) is a professionalesports organisation based inChina. It was formed in December 2017, whenBilibili, a Chinese video sharing website, acquired the I MayLeague of Legends roster. The team expanded intoOverwatch in March 2019 with the formation of anOverwatch Contenders academy team for theHangzhou Spark, anOverwatch League team owned by Bilibili. Later that year, BLG'sOverwatch team won the LanStory Cup 2019 Summer tournament.
Bilibili entered the professionalLeague of Legends scene on 17 December 2017 with their acquisition ofLPL team I May. The team was rebranded as Bilibili Gaming.[1][2]
After a top two finish in the 2023 LPL Spring Split, the team qualified forMSI for the first time in their history.[3] Bilibili Gaming won their first LPL title inSpring 2024 after winning over Top Esports, 3–1. Bilibili Gaming qualifies in back-to-back MSI series.[4]

On 12 March 2019, Bilibili announced that they would field anacademy team inOverwatch Contenders China under the name Bilibili Gaming for theirOverwatch League teamHangzhou Spark.[5]
BLG's first season in Contenders China was 2019 Season 1, where the team posted a 4–1 record in the group stages.[6] The team qualified for the regional playoffs, and in their first playoff matchup, they defeated theShanghai Dragons' academy teamTeam CC.[7] They then faced theChengdu Hunters' academy teamLGE.Huya in the semifinals; BLG lost by a score of 1–3.[8] Following their first Contenders season, BLG competed in the LanStory Cup 2019 Summer, a tournament consisting of the top ten ChineseOverwatch teams. BLG placed second in the group stages with a 3–1 record to move on to the playoffs, where they defeatedThe One Winner in the semifinals andLGD Gaming in the finals to claim their first tournament championship.[9]
