Gabriel Teixeira Aragão (born 1 April 2001), also known asBiel Teixeira or justBiel, is a Brazilianfootballer who plays as awinger or anattacking midfielder forPrimeira Liga clubSporting CP.
Born inFortaleza,[1] in the state ofCeará, Biel representedBrasília andBahia before joiningFluminense's youth setup at the age of 12.[2] On 24 December 2020, after loans atŠTK Šamorín andSanto Ângelo, he renewed his contract until December 2023.[3]
Biel made his first team debut forFlu on 4 March 2021, starting in a 1–2Campeonato Carioca away loss againstResende.[4] Seven days later, he further extended his deal until 2024.[5]
Biel scored his first senior goal on 25 April 2021, netting his team's fourth in a 4–1 home success overMadureira.[6]
On 5 April 2022, Biel was announced atGrêmio on loan.[7] He was a regular starter in the club's2022 Série B run, achieving promotion to the top tier, but left the club in November.[8]
On 27 December 2022, Biel returned to Bahia on a six-year contract, now assigned to the first team.[9] He scored twice and provided one assist in his first three matches for the club,[10] but was never an undisputed starter during his two-year spell.
On 3 February 2025, Biel moved abroad for the first time of his career after being announced at Portuguese sideSporting CP;[11] he signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club, for a rumoured fee of€ 8 million.[12]
