Bertram Sacktor was an American renalbiochemist andgerontologist.[1]
Sacktor received hisPh.D. fromRutgers University.[2]
From 1967 until 1988, Sacktor was the chief of the Biological Chemistry Laboratory at the Gerontology Research Center of theNational Institute on Aging inBaltimore.[2]
Sacktor previously held positions as the chief of the Laboratory of Molecular Aging at theNational Institute of Child Health and Human Development and as chief biochemist and director of medical research at Edgewater Arsenal in Maryland.[2] He also held faculty positions atJohns Hopkins University and theUniversity of Maryland.[2]
