In thisSpanish name, the first or paternal surname is Segura and the second or maternal family name is Rivera.

Bernardo Segura Rivera (born February 11, 1970, inSan Mateo Atenco) is a Mexicanrace walker.He is the current holder of the 20,000m World Record for Race Walking on a track with a time of 1:17:25.6. In the2000 Olympic Games, Segura finished first the 20 km walk. However, he was disqualified by the judges while he was being congratulated by then presidentErnesto Zedillo.
