Bernardo Marques Duarte Couto (born 16 August 2002), known also asBerna, is a Portuguese professionalfootballer who plays as anattacking midfielder forBulgarian First League clubSpartak Varna.[1]
Berna spend his youth career atBraga. He made his professional debut for the team on 1 April 2022 in a league match againstBenfica.[2] On 21 May 2022 he signed his first professional contract with Braga, keeping him in the team until 2025.[3] In July 2023 he moved toTrofense with Braga keeping 30% of his rights.[4]
On 12 July 2024, he moved toBulgarian First League clubSpartak Varna.[5] He scored his debut goal in the league on 23 October 2024 in a match againstLokomotiv Plovdiv, and was sent off seconds later, as he received a second yellow card for taking his shirt off.[6]
