Benny Sapp III (born June 27, 2000) is an American professionalfootballsafety for theAtlanta Falcons of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theNorthern Iowa Panthers andMinnesota.[1][2]
In Sapp's career for the Golden Gophers he played in six game notching eight total tackles.[3] After two seasons for Minnesota, Sapp decided to transfer to play for theNorthern Iowa Panthers.[4]

After not being selected in the2023 NFL draft, Sapp signed with theGreen Bay Packers as anundrafted free agent.[6] In the final preseason game versus theSeattle Seahawks, Sapp intercepeted a pass.[7] Sapp made his NFL debut in Week 11 of the 2023 season playing eight snaps in a win over theLos Angeles Chargers.[8] He was elevated to the active roster for Week 12 on November 22, 2023, and Week 16.[9][10] Sapp was signed to the active roster on December 30.[11] He was released on August 27, 2024.[12]
On December 9, 2024, Sapp signed with theAtlanta Falcons practice squad.[13] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 6, 2025.[14]
