TheBelfast suburban railcommuter network serves the metropolitan area ofGreater Belfast and some of itscommuter towns with three lines. The network is owned byTranslink and operated by its subsidiaryNI Railways.

This line has the potential to be extended fromPortadown toArmagh city centre by reopening the railway line. Government Minister for theDepartment for Regional Development,Danny Kennedy MLA indicates railway restoration plans of the line fromPortadown toArmagh.[1]
