Belén Iglesias Marcos (born 6 July 1996)[1] is afield hockey player fromSpain, who plays as a forward.[2]
Belén Iglesias was born and raised inMadrid,Spain. She is the younger sister ofÁlvaro Iglesias, who plays for the Spanish men's national team.[3]
Iglesias plays hockey forGroßflottbeker THGC.[4] Previously she representedClub de Campo in theDivisión de Honor in Spain,[5][6] andUHC Hamburg in theGerman Bundesliga.[7]
In 2016, Iglesias was a member of theSpanish Under–21 team at theFIH Junior World Cup inSantiago.[8]
She followed this up with an appearance at the2017 EuroHockey Junior Championship inValencia where the team finished fifth.[9]
Iglesias made her debut for the Spanish national team, the 'Red Sticks', in 2017.[8]
In 2019, she won her first medal with the national team, taking home bronze at theEuroHockey Championships inAntwerp.[10]
