Bejoy Nambiar (born 12 April 1979) is anIndian film director, and screenwriter known for his work inBollywood. He is mostly known for his critically acclaimed short films,Rahu andReflections, starringMohanlal.[2] He was the winner ofSony PIXGateway to Hollywood,[3] as the best director judged byAshok Amritraj,Rajat Kapoor andAnurag Basu.[4] He marked his feature film debut with the thrillerShaitan (2011). His second feature film was the anthology-drama filmDavid, produced inHindi andTamil versions.[5] His latest Bollywood film wasTaish (2020) which was also released as a Series onZEE5. He also directedWazir (2016), starringAmitabh Bachchan andFarhan Akhtar. He has also directed a short video 'Sachinocalypse' forAll India Bakchod.

Personal life

His mother tongue is Malayalam.[6] Nambiar was married toJuhi Babbar on 27 June 2007,[7] after a two-year courtship; the couple divorced in January 2009.[8] He then married his long-time girlfriendSheetal Menon in a traditional Malayali wedding inKerala on 27 December 2015.[9]
