Bechara El Khoury (born 18 March 1957[1]) is a Franco-Lebanesecomposer.
Born inBeirut, he moved toParis in 1979. Before his departure he was extremely active as a composer, pianist, conductor as well asKapellmeister. He became a French national in 1987, and as a result many French institutions commissioned works for him like Orchestre de Paris, Musique nouvelle en liberté,Radio France, Festival Menuhin inGstaad, Strasbourg Philharmonic, Mecklenburg Festival etc.
