Baur au Lac is aluxury hotel in the city ofZurich,canton of Zurich, Switzerland. It is located near the shores ofLake Zurich and theSchanzengraben moat, in proximity toBahnhofstrasse andBürkliplatz.
The hotel was founded in 1844 byJohannes Baur, and is still owned by the Baur family. It was completely renovated between 2008 and 2010.[1] It is a member of theLeading Hotels of the World marketing organisation.[2]
