TheBattle of Derna, also known as theBattle of Sidi Abdullah (Arabic: معركة سيدي عبد الله), occurred nearDerna on 3 March 1912, during theItalo-Turkish War. The battle took place between the Italians led byLuigi Capello and Ottoman-Senussi Forces led byEnver Pasha andAhmed Sharif as-Senussi.[5][6][7]
