• Batea, aNaiad, who married KingOebalus ofSparta. Their sons wereHippocoon,Tyndareus andIcarius.^[2] She also becomes somewhat relevant inPlato's dialogues.Plato implies Batea is her name given by the Gods andMyrina the one called by mortals inCratylus (dialogue).
