Barra do Garças Futebol Clube, commonly known asBarra do Garças, was a Brazilianfootball club based inBarra do Garças,Mato Grosso state. They competed once in theSérie B, in theSérie C and twice in theCopa do Brasil.
The club was founded on May 5, 1978.[1] Barra do Garças competed in theSérie C in1993, gaining promotion to the following year'sSérie B after beatingNacional-AM. The club was eliminated in the First Stage in the1994 Série B. Barra competed in theCopa do Brasil in2004, in this year, the name of the club was "Barra Esporte Clube", when they were eliminated in the First Stage bySanta Cruz, and in2007, when they were eliminated in the First Stage byBrasiliense.
Barra do Garças Futebol Clube play their home games atEstádio José Valeriano Costa, nicknamedEstádio Zeca Costa.[1] The stadium has a maximum capacity of 5,000 people.[2]
