Baron Macabre debuted inJungle Action #9 (May 1974), and was created byDon McGregor andGil Kane. He later appeared inJungle Action #10—11 (July, September 1974), and #17 (September 1975).[1] He appeared in the 2018Black Panther: Long Live The King series.[2]
Baron Macabre is aWakandan subversive capable of reanimating the dead aszuvembies. He was an ally ofErik Killmonger and came into conflict with theBlack Panther.[3]
Baron Macabre was empowered by the Resurrection Altar. He can fire electric blasts, mutate human beings into zombie-like creatures, and resurrect the dead.
