Barion Brown (born December 12, 2003) is anAmerican footballwide receiver andreturn specialist for theLSU Tigers. He previously played for theKentucky Wildcats.

Early life

Brown grew up inNashville, Tennessee and attendedPearl-Cohn Comprehensive High School.[1] As a senior, he rushed for 897 yards and 10 touchdowns on 59 carries and also caught 22 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns.[2] At the end of the season, Brown was named theTennessee Titans Class 4A Mr. Football.[3] He also ran track at Pearl-Cohn and won state championships in the100-meter and200-meter dash as a junior and as a senior.[4] Brown committed to play college football at Kentucky after considering offers from Alabama, TCU, and Ole Miss.[5] He was the highest-rated receiver to sign with the school.[6][7]

Brown entered his freshman season at Kentucky as the Wildcats' primary kick returner.[8] He returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in his college debut againstMiami of Ohio and was later named theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) Special Teams Player of the Week.[9] Brown was also named the SEC co-Freshman of the Week for weeks 4 and 5.[10] He finished the season with 50 receptions for 628 yards and four touchdowns.[11] On December 5, 2024, Brown entered the transfer portal.[12]
