Barony of Bargy inCounty Wexford, Ireland

Bargy is abarony inCounty Wexford,Ireland. From the 12th century Bargy and the surrounding area, including the barony ofForth, saw extensive Anglo-Norman settlement following theNorman invasion of Ireland. A distinctiveAnglic language, known as theYola language or simply Yola, was spoken in this area into the late 19th century.[1][2]
