Abar council (Irish:Comhairle an Bharra) orbar association, in acommon law jurisdiction with alegal profession split betweensolicitors andbarristers oradvocates, is aprofessional body that regulates the profession ofbarristers. In such jurisdictions, solicitors are generally regulated by thelaw society.
