TheBangladesh women's cricket team played theIreland women's cricket team in June and July 2018.[1][2][3] The tour consisted of threeWomen's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches.[4] The second match took place before the men'sTwenty20 International match betweenIreland and India which was played later the same day at the same venue.[4]
In the opening match,Jahanara Alam became the first woman for Bangladesh to take a five-wicket haul in international cricket.[5] Bangladesh won the opening two matches, therefore winning the series with one game to play.[6] Bangladesh won the series 2–1 withJahanara Alam named as the player of the series.[7][8]
Bangladesh also namedJannatul Ferdus,Lata Mondal,Murshida Khatun andSuraiya Azmin as players on standby for the series.[10]
