TheBal Sahitya Puraskar (Hindi: बाल साहित्य पुरस्कार) also known asSahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar, is a literary honour in India, which theSahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, annually confers on writers for their contribution in the field ofChildren's literature in any of the 22languages of the 8th Schedule to the Indian constitution as well as inEnglish andRajasthani language. Instituted in 2010, it comprises a cash prize ofRs. 50,000 and an engraved copper plaque.[1][2]
