Bal Ram Nanda (1917 – 30 May 2010) was an Indian historian and biographer fromNew Delhi.[1] He was the preeminent Indian biographer ofMahatma Gandhi.

Career

After studying history atLahore University, B.R. Nanda joined theIndian Railways Services, and served as a senior railway officer.[2]

He was the firstDirector of theNehru Memorial Museum & Library, New Delhi.[3]

Nanda died on 30 May 2010 at his New Delhi residence.[3]
