Bagram (Persian:بگرام) is adistrict ofParwan province,Afghanistan. Its seat lies atBagram, which lies about 60 kilometers north of the capital ofKabul. It bordersKabul District to the south,Shinwari District to the east, andChaharikar District to the north.[1]
Historically this district was known for itsrhinoceros hunting.[2]Haji Abdul Qader also commanded some 200Mujahideen in Bagram District during the war against the Soviet Union, with a permanent base located atDeh Babi nearAbdullah-e Burj.[3]
