TheBaarin (simplified Chinese:巴阿邻部;traditional Chinese:巴阿鄰部) are aSouthern Mongol subgroup. They live inBairin Left Banner andBaarin Right Banner ofInner Mongolia, China. The Baarin people of theBaarin Right Banner are direct descendants of theKhitans. The hairstyles of some Baarin women are still similar to what the Khitans wore.[1]
