TheBAFTA Award for Best Costume Design is afilm award presented by theBritish Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) at the annualBritish Academy Film Awards to recognize adesigner who has delivered outstandingcostume design in a film.

BAFTA is a British organisation that hosts annual awards shows for film,television, andvideo games (and formerly also forchildren's film and television). Since 1964, selected costume designers have been awarded with the BAFTA award for Best Costume Design at an annual ceremony.

In the following lists, the titles and names inbold with a gold background are the winners and recipients respectively; those not in bold are the nominees. The years given are those in which the films under consideration were released, not the year of the ceremony, which always takes place the following year.
