Bình Long is atown ofBình Phước Province in theSoutheast region of Vietnam. As of 2018, the district had a population of 105.520 and an area of 126.28 km2. The district capital lies atAn Lộc ward.[1]
The town's former name isAn Lộc. It is located approximately 90 km north ofHo Chi Minh City with a population of 8,599 (2009). An Lộc was formerly part ofBình Long Province before the merger withPhước Long Province to form Bình Phước Province. It became famous during theVietnam War for being the location of theBattle of An Lộc in 1972. Today Bình Long has a mass grave memorial with 3,000 bodies.[2]
