They participated in theAzerbaijan Top Division during the1992 season asTaraggi Baku, finishing 9th, and changed their name toAzneftyag Baku for the1993 seasons, finishing 19th. They dissolved after the 1993–94Azerbaijan First Division season in which they wonGroup B before losing out on promotion in the playoffs.[2]
