City in Golestan, Iran
Azadshahr (Persian :آزادشهر )[ a] is a city in theCentral District ofAzadshahr County ,Golestan Province,Iran , serving as capital of both the county and the district.[ 5]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 38,260 in 9,260 households.[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 39,484 people in 10,994 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 43,760 people in 13,206 households.[ 2]
