Aya Yamane (山根 綺,Yamane Aya; born 4 February 1997) is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated withAoni Production.^[1] She is known for voicing Shisel inMagatsu Wahrheit: Zuerst, Ruhuyu inShow by Rock!!, Mikoto Aketa inThe Idolmaster Shiny Colors, Daitaku Helios inUma Musume Pretty Derby, Sui Yamada inWorld's End Harem, Benisumomo inIn the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Riho Tsukishima inThe Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, and Cathy inSugar Apple Fairy Tale.

Yamane was born on 4 February 1997 inYokohama.^[1][2] She is of Chinese descent, with her father being half-Chinese and her mother being one-fourth Chinese.^[3] She was educated at a high school nearYokohama Station and Amusement Media Academy,^[4][1] where she was part of the 2016 graduating class.^[5] She was an assistant personality forYū Kobayashi's radio showKobayashi Yu Weekly.^[5]

In September 2020, she was cast as Shisel inMagatsu Wahrheit: Zuerst.^[6] In December 2020, she was cast as Sui Yamada inWorld's End Harem.^[7] In March 2022, she was cast as Benisumomo inIn the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki.^[8] In September 2022, she was cast as Freya Chocolate inSylvanian Families: Freya's Happy Diary.^[9] In November 2022, she was cast as Riho Tsukishima inThe Café Terrace and Its Goddesses.^[10] In December 2022, she voiced Cathy inSugar Apple Fairy Tale.^[11] In August 2023, she was cast as Noir inRail Romanesque.^[12]

She voiced Mikoto Aketa, one of the two members of the unit SHHis, inThe Idolmaster Shiny Colors, a spinoff ofThe Idolmaster franchise.^[13] Previously, she had unsuccessfully auditioned forShiny Colors andCinderella Girls, including forShiny Colors characters Tōru Asakura and Hinana Ichikawa, and she chose Mikoto over Luca Ikaruga because she "saw [in the former] a future where we could walk together".^[13] She performed in two SHHis singles:Layered Wing 08 (which charted at #6 in the Oricon Singles Chart) andPanorama Wing 08 (which charted at #10 in the Oricon Singles Chart).^[14][15]

She voiced Ruhuyu as part of Mashumairesh!!, an in-universe singing unit in Sanrio'sShow by Rock!! franchise. She voiced the character in the anime adaptationShow by Rock!! Mashumairesh!! and the gameShow by Rock!! Fes A Live, and she performed in Mashumairesh!!'s 2021 singleTrigger Rock.^[16][1][17] She voices Daitaku Helios in theUma Musume Pretty Derby franchise; she reprised the role in the anime, video game, and 2023 stage play.^[1][18]

She is a member of theseiyū vocal unitKleissis [ja], where she portrays the in-group role of Hirona.^[19]
