Avizafone[1] (Pro-Diazepam) is a water-solubleprodrug of thebenzodiazepine derivativediazepam. It can be administeredintramuscularly.

Avizafone is metabolised by enzymes in the blood to form the active drug diazepam. It has been researched as an alternative to diazepam as anantidote to poisoning withorganophosphatenerve agents.[2][3][4]
