Austin Chase Green (born March 26, 2001) is an American professionalstock car racing driver. He competes full-time in theSCCA Trans-Am TA2 Pro Am Series, driving the No. 89Ford Mustang/Chevrolet Camaro forPeterson Racing Group and part-time in theNASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 32Chevrolet SS forJordan Anderson Racing. He is the son of former NASCAR driver and current official,David Green and nephew ofJeff Green andMark Green.

Racing career

Early career

Green began racing go-karts at four years old, before transitioning to bandoleros when he was eight. He eventually moved into legends cars at age 13, winning numerous races, including the Legends Young Lions Winter Heat championship atCharlotte Motor Speedway.[1]

Trans-Am Series

Green ran part-time in the SCCA Trans-Am TA2 Pro-Am Series from 2021 to 2022, driving forTeam SLR and M1 Race Cars, earning a best finish of 12th at Watkins Glen International in 2022.[2][3] He ran full-time in the series in 2023, driving the No. 89 car forPeterson Racing Group. He earned four podiums, five top fives, and seven top tens, ending the season with a 5th-place points finish. On January 9, 2024, he announced that he will return to Peterson Racing for the 2024 season, along with running a part-time Xfinity Series schedule for the team.[4]

ARCA Menards Series

Green made hisARCA Menards Series debut in the2020 Menards 200 atToledo Speedway, driving the No. 74 car forVisconti Motorsports. Green started 11th and finished 7th.

Xfinity Series

On January 9, 2024, Green announced that he would run part-time in theNASCAR Xfinity Series in2024, driving the No. 87 car for Peterson Racing in nine races.[4][5] In his first start at theCircuit of the Americas, Green drove the No. 32Chevrolet forJordan Anderson Racing in collaboration with Peterson Racing Group, where he finished in seventh place.
