Ausias Despuig (born inXàtiva inSpain, died 3 September 1483 inRome) was acardinal of theCatholic Church.[1]
He was made cardinal on the 7 May 1473 byPope Sixtus IV. He was thenarchbishop of Monreale inSicily.
He becamearchbishop of Zaragoza inSpain in 1475,[2][3] but was stripped of the post in 1478 because of his disagreements with KingJohn II of Aragon. He was alsobishop of Capaccio, a suffragan of the archbishop ofSalerno, from 1476 to 1483.
