Auguste Chapuis (French pronunciation:[oɡystʃapɥi]; 25 April 1858 – 6 December 1933) was a 19th/20th century Frenchcomposer,organist, and professor. Hewas a student withCésar Franck. Therue Auguste-Chapuis [fr] in the20th arrondissement of Paris was named after him when he died in 1933.

He was awarded thePrix Rossini in1886 forLes Jardins d'Armide on alibretto by theplaywrightÉmile Moreau.

In 1894, he succeededAdolphe Danhauser as head of the municipalorphéon [fr] of Paris.
