Personal life

Athmiya was born inKannur, Kerala. She completed her graduation inNursing from Shree Devi College of Nursing,Mangalore. She married Sanoop K Nambiar on 25 January 2021 atKannur.[2]

Career

Athmiya's first film as the lead actress came in Tamil filmManam Kothi Paravai in which she played a village belle oppositeSivakarthikeyan. She then played the lead in Ranjan Pramod'sRose Guitarinaal where she essayed the role of an airline trainee, an innocent girl caught between two lovers.[3] Malathi Rangarajan ofThe Hindu in a film review ofManam Kothi Paravai stated that "New-find Athmiya conveys a lot with her expressive eyes. Her role has substance, and she carries it off well".[4] In 2014, she appeared inPongadi Neengalum Unga Kadhalum followed byAmoeba in 2016 where she played one of the victims.[5] Her next movie was in Tamil titledKaaviyyan.[6][7] She then portrayed lead rolesJoseph (2018) andMaarconi Mathaai (2019).[8]
