A sweet in Sri Lankan cuisine

Athirasam (Tamil old nameAmutharasam orAthiraha)[citation needed] [(Sinhala:අතිරස) means extremely tasty)] is asweet inSri Lankan cuisine. It is a sweet-cake ofjaggery andrice flour made into a paste flattened into circles and fried. Athirasa is also famous in India forDiwali.[1][2][3] Athirasa is served on festive occasions along with other sweets such asKavum,Kokis, andAluwa.[4][5][3]
