Asymbolus funebris, or theAustralian blotched catshark, is a species ofshark belonging to thefamilyPentanchidae, the deepwater catsharks.[2] The only specimen, theholotype, being found offWestern Australia at 144 m (472 ft). Its length is 44 cm (17 in) and its reproduction isoviparous.
