Astaneh (Persian:آستانه)^[a] is a city in theCentral District ofShazand County,^[b]Markazi province,Iran.^[5]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 6,969 in 1,941 households.^[6] The following census in 2011 counted 6,880 people in 2,149 households.^[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 7,166 people in 2,427 households.^[2]
