Assaf Khalifa (Arabic:عساف خليفة; born 1968) is a Syrian formerfootballer who played as aforward.[1]
Khalifa was the first foreign player from outside the former USSR in theRussian Football Premier League when he joinedFC Zhemchuzhina Sochi in 1994.
After retirement as a player, he went to coaching in Syria:Al-Nidal SC andAl-Wahda SC, Lebanon:Al-Mabarrah,Salam Zgharta andAl Nabi Sheet, Jordan:That Ras Club, and Oman:Oman Club.[2]
