Asipulo, officially theMunicipality of Asipulo is amunicipality in theprovince ofIfugao,Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 16,088 people.[5]
The town, formerly part ofKiangan, was incorporated as a separate municipality pursuant toRepublic Act No. 7173, ratified on January 13, 1992.[6]
Asipulo is situated 12.84 kilometres (7.98 mi) from the provincial capitalLagawe, and 363.22 kilometres (225.69 mi) from the country's capital city ofManila.
Asipulo is politically subdivided into 10barangays. [7] Each barangay consists ofpuroks and some havesitios.

In the 2020 census, the population of Asipulo was 15,963 people,[14] with a density of 87 inhabitants per square kilometre or 230 inhabitants per square mile.

Asipulo, belonging to thelone congressional district of the province ofIfugao, is governed by a mayor designated as its local chief executive and by a municipal council as its legislative body in accordance with the Local Government Code. The mayor, vice mayor, and the councilors are elected directly by the people through an election which is being held every three years.

The JCampbell Park or Julia Campbell Agroforest Memorial Eco-Park, is an eco-park located in Barangay Pula in this town. The camp is dedicated in memory ofJulia Campbell (journalist), a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer working in the Philippines and was murdered in the area in 2007 on her trek to Batad Rice Terraces.
The Asipulo Schools District Office governs all educational institutions within the municipality. It oversees the management and operations of all private and public, from primary to secondary schools.[24]
