Artsvik Boriki Harutyunyan (Armenian:Արծվիկ Բորիկի ՀարությունյանIPA:[ɑɾtsˈvikhɑɾutʰjunˈjɑn];Russian:Арцвик Арутюнян; born 21 October 1984), better known as simplyArtsvik, is aRussian-Armenian singer and songwriter. She representedArmenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Fly with Me" finishing in 18th place.[1][2]
Artsvik was born on 21 October 1984 inKapan. When she was five years old, the family left Armenia for Russia, settling inMoscow. After graduating from high school, Artsvik studied to become aspeech therapist atMoscow State Pedagogical University.[3]
In 2013, Artsvik became a contestant onseason two ofGolos, the Russian version ofThe Voice. Artsvik was eliminated in the battle rounds.
In 2016, Artsvik was announced as a participant inDepi Evratesil, the Armenian national selection to find their entrant in theEurovision Song Contest 2017.[4][5] During her time on the show, she was a member ofEssaï Altounian's team.[6] She was announced the winner on 24 December 2016, and represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Fly with Me".[7] The director of the music video on the song isArthur Manukyan.[8]
