Arthur Montrose Cottrell (January 6, 1885 – October 12, 1918) was anAmerican football coach and aWorld War I veteran. He served as the head football coach atMcDaniel College–then known asWestern Maryland College–in 1909, atAlfred University in 1910,[1] and atMillersville University of Pennsylvania in 1911, compiling a careercollege football coaching record of 9–7–1.[2]

Cottrell died in 1918 from theSpanish flu while stationed atMitchel Field duringWorld War I.[3]
